Who we are

Specialists in Geographic Data for the Public Sector

NAVLOGICA was founded to address a persistent gap in the market: public sector organisations needed accurate, standards-compliant geographic data services delivered by specialists who understood both the technical requirements and the operational context of government data.

Our background

Built on Public Sector Experience

NAVLOGICA was established by practitioners with direct experience in local authority GIS, national address infrastructure, and public sector data management. We have worked on the inside of the systems our clients depend on — which means we understand not just the technical standards, but the organisational pressures, procurement constraints, and downstream consequences of data quality decisions.

Our work spans post code assignment for new development areas, GIS mapping for planning and infrastructure, and independent audits of existing address datasets. Every engagement is grounded in the same principle: accurate geographic data is infrastructure, and it deserves to be treated with the same rigour as any other critical public asset.

We work exclusively with government and public sector clients. This focus allows us to maintain deep familiarity with the standards, procurement frameworks, and operational environments that define public sector data work — and to deliver outputs that integrate cleanly into existing systems without requiring clients to adapt their processes to ours.

How we work

Our Principles

01

Standards compliance

Every output is validated against BS7666, Royal Mail PAF, and Ordnance Survey reference data. We do not ship data that has not passed documented QA.

02

Public sector focus

We work exclusively with government and municipal clients. This focus means our methodology, documentation, and engagement model are built around public sector procurement and operational requirements.

03

Documented accuracy

We provide accuracy certificates and full QA audit trails with every delivery. Clients can demonstrate compliance to auditors, inspectors, and downstream system owners.

04

Transparent process

Our project methodology is documented and shared with clients at the outset. There are no black-box processes — clients understand exactly how their data is being handled at every stage.

Standards & accreditations

Working to Recognised Standards

Our methodology is aligned with the national standards that govern address and geographic data in the UK public sector.

BS7666

BS7666 Address Standard

The British Standard for spatial datasets for geographic referencing. All address outputs are validated against BS7666 Part 1 and Part 2 requirements.

PAF

Royal Mail PAF

Post code assignment is cross-referenced against the Postcode Address File sector boundaries and delivery point data to ensure compatibility with downstream postal and emergency services systems.

OS MasterMap

Ordnance Survey MasterMap

GIS outputs are built on OS MasterMap Topography Layer and Address Layer 2, ensuring geometric accuracy and compatibility with local authority GIS infrastructure.

INSPIRE

INSPIRE Directive

Spatial datasets are delivered with INSPIRE-compliant metadata records, supporting public sector obligations under the Infrastructure for Spatial Information in Europe directive.

G-Cloud

G-Cloud Framework

NAVLOGICA services are available through the Crown Commercial Service G-Cloud framework, simplifying procurement for central and local government clients.

ISO 27001

Data Security

Data handling procedures are aligned with ISO 27001 principles. All client data is processed under a signed data sharing agreement and deleted from our systems within 30 days of project completion.
